Kyneton Transition Hub

The Kyneton Transition Hub grew from a small group of people at the Kyneton Conference in 2010 who wanted to work towards a “greener” Kyneton. We agreed the focus was to build community resilience, so we adopted the transition town model.

The aim of our group is to help make our community stronger, happier and more resilient as we deal with the impacts of peak oil and climate change.

Our projects include Future Forums, Open Edible Garden Day, Garden Gatherings and the Community Swap Table at the Kyneton Farmers Market as well as weekly sessions in the community garden. We also participate in other community events and network with community groups and individuals. We have been involved in the Kyneton Daffodil & Arts Festival, the Kyneton Agricultural Show, the Malmsbury Fayre and Macedon Ranges Sustainable Living Festival. We also support local initiatives such as the Kyneton Community Lunch and the Boomerang Bags initiative.

If you would like to find out more about what we do or have some ideas for new initiatives, we would love to meet you over a coffee from 10.30 am Friday mornings at Kaddy’s Cafe (8 High St, Kyneton).
